A simulation, not a lecture
Lakeshore Verity is a simulation for boards, built by Lakeshore Management College in Newcastle upon Tyne. It exists because boards are now accountable for AI systems they did not build and may not fully understand.
A course can tell a board what the rules say. Verity tests something different: how directors behave when an AI system fails in public, under time pressure, while a journalist, a regulator and an affected customer respond to every decision.
Each session runs for about three hours. Directors work through one written scenario for their sector, and every choice is scored against six measures: risk recognition, quality of challenge, ethical judgement, escalation, clarity of accountability, and speed of decision. The board then receives a Readiness Report with its Verity Index, its gaps and clear actions.
Verity is in pilot. During the 2026 to 2027 pilot programme we are inviting a small number of boards in the North of England to take part in free sessions. Pilot boards help shape the product.
