A research and practice network connecting academics, industry practitioners, and emerging scholars to produce applied research, publish white papers, host conferences, and support student internships at the frontier of generative AI and leadership.
The Lakeshore Global AI and Leadership Research Network (LGAIN) exists to close the gap between rigorous academic research and the practical realities of leading in a generative age. We bring together scholars, executives, policy makers, and students around shared questions that matter to organisations and to society.
LGAIN is founded on the belief that the most consequential knowledge is produced in dialogue, between disciplines, between academia and industry, and between established researchers and the next generation of talent. Our work is applied, transparent, and oriented toward real decisions and real people.
Through white papers, conferences, applied research projects, and structured student internships, LGAIN provides a platform where ideas become evidence, and evidence becomes leadership practice.
Our themes are deliberately interdisciplinary. We pursue questions that sit at the intersection of technology, leadership, and society.
How generative AI is reshaping executive decision making, board governance, and responsible leadership. We build frameworks that make AI adoption defensible, from the boardroom to the front line, for academics and employers alike.
Applied research on how organisations embed digital, data, and AI into strategy and operations to innovate, compete, and build resilience. From SME to enterprise, we translate evidence into transformation roadmaps that work.
The competencies, pedagogies, and workforce models needed for the AI driven economy. We connect employer demand with curriculum design and lifelong learning, so talent stays ahead of the technology.
Leadership, governance, and data driven practice in health and social care. We improve outcomes, equity, and the safety of services under pressure, drawing on the lived realities of practitioners and providers.
Ongoing research projects, published white papers, and live industry collaborations that show LGAIN at work. A selection of what we are building, writing, and testing with partners.
An applied study examining how senior leaders integrate generative AI into strategic and operational decisions, and the governance safeguards that make that integration defensible.
A multi partner investigation into how small and medium enterprises use data and AI to anticipate disruption and build supply chain resilience.
A framework for responsible adoption of generative AI across leadership, governance, and organisational culture, grounded in applied evidence.
Skills, roles, and workforce readiness for the next decade of AI driven work, with practical implications for educators and employers.
A collaboration with an industry partner to design and deliver an AI literacy programme for frontline managers and emerging leaders.
A pilot study applying leadership analytics to real team performance data, testing how evidence can sharpen day to day leadership decisions.
We welcome academics, industry practitioners, research institutions, and public sector partners who wish to contribute to applied research, co author white papers, present at LGAIN conferences, or host student interns. Collaboration can take many forms, from a single paper to a multi year research programme.
Tell us about your background and how you would like to contribute. We review every application and respond directly.
