Student Policies & Protection Plan

Last reviewed: April 2026  ·  Aligned with Office for Students requirements

Our Commitment to You

When you enrol at Lakeshore Management College, you invest your time, intellect, and considerable resources into your professional future. We approach the profound responsibility of safeguarding that educational investment with absolute seriousness.

Our academic vision relies upon merging traditional discipline with the transformative power of generative artificial intelligence, and we achieve this ambitious goal by acting as a dedicated delivery partner for esteemed university awarding bodies within the United Kingdom. Because we facilitate the rigorous teaching and the daily student experience while our university partners formally confer the academic credit, this protection plan exists to ensure your studies continue without interruption, regardless of any unforeseen institutional challenges.

We have evaluated several distinct scenarios to guarantee your security.

Identified Risk Scenarios

Comprehensive Institutional Financial Failure

Very Low Risk

Given our careful governance structures and the quarterly independent reviews conducted by our Academic Board, we evaluate the likelihood of immediate closure due to financial insolvency as exceptionally low. We acknowledge, however, the severe impact such an unlikely event would carry.

Loss of Delivery Partnership with Awarding Universities

Very Low Risk

We maintain exceptionally close regulatory and academic alignment with our partners across all our disciplines, extending from the Faculty of Intelligence through the Faculty of Business and into the Faculty of Health & Social Science. Therefore, we view the sudden withdrawal of validation as highly improbable.

Specific Academic Programme Closure

Moderate Risk

If a specialised curriculum, perhaps the Bachelor of Science in Health and Social Care or the Bachelor of Arts in Digital Marketing Management, experiences declining enrolment over several consecutive years, we might elect to withdraw it. We consider this a moderate risk but one that we can manage with ample foresight and planning.

Physical Campus Unavailability

Low Risk

Extreme weather events or significant structural damage could render our physical teaching spaces inaccessible. We consider this a low likelihood event, but we recognise it would cause immediate disruption to your daily learning environment.

Our Response to Each Scenario

If Lakeshore Ceases Operations Entirely

In the highly improbable event that Lakeshore Management College ceases operations entirely, our primary safeguard is the direct contractual relationship you hold with your awarding university. Our legally binding agreements stipulate complete teach out provisions. This essential clause means the awarding university assumes full responsibility for facilitating the completion of your degree. You will never be left without a clear path to graduation.

If a Specific Programme Closes

Should we formally decide to close a specific programme, we guarantee to teach out all currently enrolled cohorts. We will simply cease recruiting new individuals for that specific programme. You will successfully finish the exact curriculum you commenced, supported by the identical standard of faculty and resources until your final examinations entirely conclude.

If Campus Becomes Unavailable

If our physical campus becomes unexpectedly unavailable, we maintain comprehensive contingency protocols. We will instantly secure alternative teaching facilities within a reasonable geographical radius to minimise any disruption to your daily commute. Because our pedagogical approach thoroughly integrates advanced technological environments, we can also transition seamlessly to fully supported remote instruction temporarily while our physical facilities undergo necessary restoration.

Refund and Compensation Policy

We operate a strict refund and compensation policy designed entirely to protect you financially. If an unforeseen event occurs that permanently prevents us from preserving your continuation of study, we will refund all tuition fees paid for the academic year in which the educational disruption takes place.

Furthermore, we will actively provide financial compensation for maintenance costs and any additional specific expenses you incurred. If you are forced to transfer to a completely different institution in a new city because of our failure to provide a viable teach out option, we will cover the reasonable transitional costs associated directly with your relocation.

Our independent Academic Board oversees a dedicated financial reserve fund specifically allocated to honour these exact financial commitments.

Transparency and Communication

We firmly believe in absolute transparency alongside continuous communication. We will review this protection plan annually, deliberately incorporating feedback from the student community to ensure it remains highly effective and fully aligned with the expectations set by the Office for Students.

Should we ever need to activate any component of this protection plan, we will notify you immediately through formal institutional communication channels and convene in person assemblies to discuss the upcoming steps. You will always possess access to independent advice through your elected student representation channels, ensuring your individual voice remains central to any transition process.
