The senior academic authority of the College, responsible for academic standards, quality assurance, assessment frameworks, and the oversight of partnerships.
The Dean is the senior academic officer of Lakeshore Management College. Holds overall responsibility for academic standards, programme quality, assessment integrity, and the academic suitability of partnerships. Acts as the primary academic interface with partner institutions on all matters relating to standards and quality.
Leads internal quality assurance and enhancement activities. Oversees assessment practices, moderation, external examiner engagement, student feedback processes, and annual monitoring. Ensures all provision meets partner university expectations and UK Quality Code principles.
Responsible for curriculum coherence, programme delivery, academic staffing, and teaching effectiveness. Ensures that approved curricula are delivered accurately and consistently, and that academic staff are supported, inducted, and monitored appropriately.
Oversees welfare, pastoral care, engagement monitoring, and academic progression. Ensures students are supported from pre-admission guidance through completion, and that retention and progression issues are identified early and addressed within structured processes.
Responsible for registry functions, admissions administration, data protection, financial controls, and contractual compliance. Ensures that operational systems support academic governance and meet partner and regulatory requirements.
